ABOUT US
Teeniors® began as a business idea pitched at the first-ever Startup Weekend Women's Edition in New Mexico (2015). Through the work of an outstanding team, the idea won 1st place. Soon after, Teeniors was selected to participate in a local business accelerator, and eventually our first client was booked! Since then, Teeniors has evolved into a vibrant organization connecting teens and young adults with older people across New Mexico and beyond. An award-winning* small business with a non-profit arm, we have personally tutored over 7,000 older adults in Albuquerque alone and provided paid, part-time work for many younger people along the way.
Our primary goal at Teeniors is to empower each other through human connection. What makes our service unique is intergenerational learning and one-on-one support. As we all adapt to our increasingly digital world, we know that 'tech support' can be found through numerous websites, call centers and stores. Our service is different: we offer kind, patient, friendly, one-on-one tutoring at a reasonable price. Our goal is not to fix your problem as fast as we can, it's to empower you to better understand the technology at your fingertips while connecting with a coach who is happy to help. We earn continuous 5-star reviews from clients, and from our team. Individual and group sessions are available. (We now off individual and group coaching both virtually and in person! Learn more.)

ABOUT OUR TEAM
Teeniors' coaches come from all walks of life: public, private, charter schools and home schooling. Nearly all applicants hear about us from parents or teachers, and our coaches range from 15-35 years in age. Students, graduates, and working professionals make Teeniors what it is today. We offer a vast array of coaching in everything from smartphones and computers to Smart TVs and software (websites and apps). Our coaches benefit from the opportunity to build their resume, gain valuable experience, and improve interpersonal communication skills in an environment that works around their schedule. We are selective about those who work for us and you can feel confident in the kindness and patience of your personal coach. |
ABOUT OUR NON-PROFIT ARM
Teeniors was created as a small business in 2015 with the goal of empowering older adults to learn technology while providing paid, meaningful jobs to youth. In 2017, we created a non-profit arm through a 501(c)3 fiscal sponsor to support the countless hours of coaching we provide to seniors who can't afford to pay. Your tax-deductible donations help us continue this effort while still paying our young team and expenses. We pride ourselves on empowering people and addressing documented needs in our society: like social isolation, youth unemployment, and lifelong learning. To learn more, contact our founder directly at [email protected]. If you are interested in making a financial contribution to our nonprofit work, click here. Albuquerque Community Foundation is our fiscal sponsor and your gift is deeply appreciated by our entire team. THANK YOU!

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER / CEO
Trish Lopez has worked professionally with everyone from Hollywood executives to political leaders. A powerful communicator and global traveler, she returned to her home state of New Mexico as a new mom in 2015 and was inspired to create Teeniors® after seeing her own mom struggle to adapt to the digital world. (See her background here.) A graduate of University of New Mexico and supporter of numerous social causes, Lopez's primary interest is bringing people together from different walks of life to create change in our communities. |
